The Urbanic MooN North/South marks a further evolutionary stage in the history of mechanical high-tech moon phase watches, first introduced by us in 2011. With an impressive diameter of 13.4 mm for the moon cycle display, the Urbanic Double MooN uses an Earth shadow simulation to render the moon phases in a photorealistic and luminescent manner, with a maximum deviation of one day in 122.5 years.

The centerpiece of this precision art is a complicated gear system, necessary to depict the 27.3217-day sidereal orbit of our Earth's satellite with such accuracy. The Urbanic Double MooN stands out from conventional moon phase watches, which often deviate by a day after just half a year, by precisely maintaining the synodic cycle of approximately 29.53 days.

At the heart of this precision art is a complicated gear train that is required to reproduce the 27.3217-day sidereal orbit of our earth's satellite with such accuracy. The Urbanic Double MooN sets itself apart from conventional moon phase watches, which often deviate by one day after just six months, by precisely adhering to the synodic cycle of approx. 29.53 days. The moon phase module specially developed by Schaumburg Watch, supplemented by the basic SW-12 movement, is embedded in a striking steel case with a diameter of 45 mm and a height of 14 mm. This masterpiece is protected by anti-reflective sapphire crystal and a pressure resistance of up to 10 ATM, which corresponds to a water depth of 100 meters. The Urbanic Double MooN is rounded off with an elegant leather strap that is 22 mm wide at the lugs and is held securely on the wrist with a functional pin buckle.
